Read the law on the official site →Upload your Equifax and TransUnion reports. We explain every line in plain words and check it against Manitoba's own law. When you are ready, your letters follow. You read them. You send them.
We are not a credit repair service. We draft; you decide and send.

YOUR RIGHT TO QUESTION A LINE
In Manitoba you file what the law calls a statement of protest. That is at s.10. The agency, the reporter or the lender must act IMMEDIATELY. If it cannot verify the item, it must take it out. If it can, your protest goes on the file beside it. That is at s.11. There is no deadline in the Act, and that is better than it sounds: 'immediately' is a stronger standard than a 30 or 60 day clock. They must also tell you what they did, and tell anyone who got a report about you in the 60 days before. Section 10-11.
10 Where the subject of a report protests any information contained in a personal report or in a personal file, the subject has the right to file a statement of protest with the user or the personal reporter or both. … 11(1) Where the subject files a protest with a user or a personal reporter, or any person files a protest with a personal reporting agency, the user, personal reporter or personal investigation agency shall immediately (a) attempt to verify the information and where the factual or investigative information cannot be verified, expunge the information from the personal file; or (b) where the veracity of the information is sustained, record the protest in the personal file; and report the action taken (c) to the subject of the personal report or personal file; and (d) to any person to whom the personal report may have been furnished within the previous 60 days.

Each letter goes to the bureau's own dispute address. We show the address when you write.
Equifax Canada →TransUnion Canada →Nothing here is legal advice. Where a card shows a quote, it is the government's own text, with the date we read it. Where it says “Quoted section coming”, we are still checking the exact section. The card gives the rule in plain words and links the official page. Accurate information stays on your report; we help you question what is wrong or out of date.
